THE VESPER
No other cocktail describes James Bond’s love for Martinis like the Vesper. Invented by Ian Fleming in his book Casino Royale, the drink’s ingredients and instructions are clearly spelled out by Bond, yet Kina Lillet no longer exists so the online debate as what should replace it is energetic to say the least.
INGREDIENTS
30ml / 1.5oz 9diDANTE Purgatorio 40ml / 1.5oz London Dry Gin
20ml / 1.5oz Vodka
HOW DO I MAKE IT?
1 - In cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 9diDANTE Purgatorio, the London Dry Gin a me the Vodka.
2 - Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds, then strain into cocktail coupe or martini glass.
3 - Garnish with a zest of lemon
