This is the original MARTINI recipe, the way they were served in the pre-Probition days back in the 1910s.
Though Dry Martinis, with ratios anywhere from 3-to-1 to 9-to-1, have been the norm since the second half of the 20th century. The Fifty-Fifty (equal parts gin and extra-dry vermouth) is making a comeback as a refreshing less stiff alternative, allowing you to enjoy more than one!
INGREDIENTS
45ml / 1.5oz 9diDANTE Purgatorio 45ml / 1.5oz London Dry Gin
HOW DO I MAKE IT?
1 - In mixing glass or cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 9diDANTE Purgatorio and the London Dry Gin.
2 - Stir well, about 20 seconds, then strain into cocktail coupe or martini glass.
3 - Garnish with olives and twist a lemon peel directly over drink to release the essential oils.
